        Loose vs. Preset Diamonds

At Fidelity Diamond, our customers choose their diamond from our extensive inventory of GIA certified loose natural diamonds. Only a loose diamond can be viewed without obstruction in its entirety and weighed to ensure its exact carat weight.  It is not possible to do this with a preset diamond – the prongs of the setting may conceal flaws and the carat weight cannot be determined due to the weight of the setting.  Only when selecting a loose diamond can you be 100 percent confident that you are actually getting what you think you are.
